The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted as a basis the bill on amendments to the Law of Ukraine “On the peculiarities of state regulation of the activity of subjects of entrepreneurial activity connected with sale and export of timber” (re moratorium on export of wood and timber in raw condition)

The bill (Reg. No. 1362) suggests imposing a moratorium on export of wood and timber in raw condition for the period of 10 years.

The bill specifies the list of valuable and rear species of wood (it is suggested include oak to the list).
